TL;DR

This project is entering archival due to technical roadblocks beyond the current resources of its sole maintainer (me) and general lack of free time. No further commits, reviews, or releases are planned. The GitHub repository will be archived read-only within the next few days.

What does “archived” mean?

The repo will become read-only.
All issues and PRs will remain visible for historical purposes but will not be triaged.
The website, wiki, and downloads will stay up with no promise of future updates or security fixes.

License remains absolutely unchanged

The project continues to be licensed under the GNU General Public License v3.0-or-later (GPL-3.0-or-later).
Nothing in this notice constitutes a relicensing.

Important warnings about future variants

This project will NOT be re-released under any proprietary or closed-source license.
I will NOT grant anyone permission to use any part of the code in a way that violates GPLv3-or-later.
Any subsequent distribution showing up as a closed-source binary or obfuscated fork is unauthorized and considered a counterfeit.
– Such builds may contain trojans, spyware, adware, or other malicious software.
– Use them at your own risk—we strongly recommend you avoid them.
